Position Overview:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Enowagbor Foundation, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of programs, and supporting organizational growth. This role will work closely with senior leadership, program managers, and support staff to maintain operational excellence and ensure that the foundation’s resources are being used effectively to fulfill its mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the foundation, including program delivery, logistics, administration, and overall operational efficiency.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with the foundation’s goals and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of ongoing projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
    • Assist in fundraising and grant management activities by providing operational insights and data.
    • Ensure that operational activities are aligned with financial goals and available funding.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and manage operations staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting professional development and growth opportunities for staff.
    • Support program managers in operational aspects of project implementation, ensuring teams have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
    • Oversee the logistics of the foundation’s programs, ensuring that materials, equipment, and resources are sourced and distributed effectively.
    • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services, products, and program materials.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, local communities, government partners, and other NGOs, to ensure smooth communication and cooperation.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the progress of operational activities and any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare operational reports and performance evaluations for senior management, donors, and partners.
    • Ensure that operational activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management, budgeting, and financial oversight.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software.
  • A commitment to the mission of the foundation and a passion for social impact.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in international development or humanitarian sectors.
  • Knowledge of grant management and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, especially [local language], is a plus.
